MEOW!

Little mans bestest friend has two kitties. My imagination was running wild with visions of crocheted cats. Here is what came of it!

(There is snow in the background, because she was finished in February...and just in time for Valentines Day!)

She is a happy cat. xx

still here

i have been a little too lazy busy exhausted to post anything, let alone turn on my computer. this is a project that i was working on before Christmas. i was crocheting at night after little man went to sleep....which is why the pictures are so dark. i just love this square!
The pattern is a freebie from ravelry. Inga's Haekelbeutel
i used various acrylic yarns and had to adjust my hook size to get them all to come out about the same size.
and then i single crocheted all around to join them...inside and out

A project finished! (this was my new years resolution) i have a whole pile of started projects that are screaming out to me: FINISH ME!  so one down...like 20 or 30 to go. i cant seem to keep myself from starting new things still...

I have a friend who loves purple and pink....so guess what she is getting for her birthday!
;)

little man has gone from walking to running and climbing all over everything....toddlers are so much fun, buy very, very exhausting, who knew?!

going away (and thank you) present

My former teacher just moved to Morocco to open a hotel. What an adventure!!!
I thought a nice little blue birdy would be a cheerful companion...paired up with some lovely music from the fabulous cellist, Sol Gabetta.
I made him using a pattern from Ana Paula Rimoli's book Amigurumi two. The original pattern is her branch mobile...i just made one little bird and one vine and made it loop so that it could be hung up in a window or maybe the rear view mirror. I hope he makes good company.
She was a wonderful teacher and i'm really wishing her luck with her hotel!!

hoppity-hop

My neighbor had a baby girl, and i wanted to make something special for her. she didn't turn out quite the way i wanted her to. her tummy is a little off-centered. hmm ;-?
now i just have to make it over there to give it to her...before she outgrows stuffed toys (cause thats how bad i am at getting stuff done)

just for you

As i was pregnant last year and finishing my schooling (to be an educator), i found a bit of spare time after homework and before bed to make a few things for the little man.
I used a pattern (slightly modified by me) from Ana Paula Rimoli's book, Amigurumi World: Seriously Cute Crochet.
I was so happy with the results and i think the little man liked him, too!

addicted to crochet

i need to crochet everyday. i just need to. after some thought, i realized that there has been nearly no time over the last ten years that i could be found without a crochet hook in my hand or purse. i have had and still have other hobbies, but crocheting is by far my favorite. there is just so much to do and so little time these days.
